The Tiger and The Dragon by bolshaw The Tiger and The Dragon by bolshaw
finished in february 28, 2004

it was just a test: when i was doing "watching hell" i noticed that while i was manipulating textures, subtle and strange shapes would appear... the dungeon from "watching hell" is nothing more than the texture of the paper where the arquitechtural structure of the background was drawn.

i then started testing a specific texture and i let the drawings appear to me like they do appear beneath the clouds in a spring afternoon, or the exotic faces that emerge in sparse stains.

in this case, i had the pleasure of finding those two great symbols from the chinese culture which i admire so much. special mention to the dragon, which is my horoscope ascendent.

to complement the works, all i had to add were the eyes, the ideograms and the discrete shape of the monk. both representations were done with the exact same stocks: the paper from ~ NV-Stock and the eyes from ~devil-stock .

i'd love to hear your comments about it!

beijos a todos!

fantástico como se conseguem transmitir tantas ideias e sentimentos opostos com leves alterações - um pouco como nós próprios, espelhos contraditórios da nossas multi-facetadas personalidades...
